Accesing userCP

My board is subscription only. I initially allowed free members to populate the board and they were (and still are) in the default “registered users” user group. So, I needed to create a different user group (deactivated users) for VB to place the members when their subscriptions ran out and they did not renew/or cancelled it.

I creted a member in that deactivated users group and when I logged in I get this:

XXXXXX, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I went into the usergroup permissions and made it so that group can "edit own profile" but I still get this message. What permissions can I set so that a deactivated user group can still access thier User CP and then re-up thier subscription via the "Paid Subscriptions" link there? Any help would be appreciated.

What page where you on when you tried to log in as a deactivated user? Could you possible have logged out, then logged back in on a page that "deactivated" users don't have permission to access? Or are you getting this message on every page?

I am getting that message on the index page. When I login as that user....it won't let me go to any other page.

Do you have Can View Forum set No in their permissions?

Yes

Never mind...I just figured it out. Thank your for the help.

I guess that was it then. Set that to No, and no one has permission to access anything on the board.
