Dropdown Menus problem
I'm working on a clients' site and having a heck of a problem with the dropdown menus, i.e. Quick Links, Search, etc. They work fine in Firefox, on both the default and custom theme that I'm designing. But in IE7, they work on the default skin, but not on the style I'm designing.
This is baffling to me, because I have not edited the navbar template at all. In trying to troubleshoot this issue, I copied the navbar template contents from the default vB skin (since it works in IE7) and pasted it to the navbar template of my custom style, to see if it would work in IE7. NO, it doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas on this at all?? I'm at a loss. |
Have you added any javascript to the pages at all? What about modifying the header or headinclude templates?
|
Lynne I have not added any javascript at all. But I can't guarantee that the owner hasn't. Would that be an issue?
I haven't edited the headinclude, but did edit the header template. However, I've since reverted it back to default, and the menus still don't work. |
I have heard that sometimes the drop-downs don't work because of a javascript conflict - that is why I asked about whether there was any javascript added.

He has Photopost installed (I didn't install it) and I don't know if it uses javascript or not. Do you?

headinclude
header footer navbar Are probably the most common area's you want to check. Copy the default style to each one one at a time to find the problem |
I'll try that now. Thanks.
