Who's Online Conditionals needed

Does anyone know any good "who's online" conditionals, as seen here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...who%27s+online

In order to prevent usernames from certain "banned" usergroups from appearing in the whos online box on the forumhome page at the bottom, and in the birthdays and welcome new member boxes?

We desperately need a feature whereby certain usergroups are INVISIBLE to all users apart from admins! But there is nothing out there, and no official support from vbulletin.

You can use the hook forumhome_loggedinuser_query, to change the variable $hook_query_where to add a condition. Look in index.php to see how it works.

I'm not too good at the coding side of things. Any other pointers? Somebody must have needed this or done this before? Surely some of the big boards don't allow anyone who registers or anybody who has been banned from showing publically on the forum homepage lists?
