Did you put it in the correct postbit? You are using the postbit_legacy on your site. And where is it supposed to show up (under what line?).

And where is it supposed to show up? How about posting a bit more of your postbit_legacy template for us to see. Have you even verified that $post['postsperday'] is available for use there (place it in the template without a conditional).

Post per day isn't a default vBulletin field...

I was kinda wondering that and meant to ask which hook he was using for the plugin to create the variable.

Also, you should use the [ code ] tags when posting code otherwise it's just impossible to read.
