How do I remove this? Plus NavbarSearch Box doesn't work
 

Hello, I was wondering how I can remove this (View Images Below). I can chnage the color as it's from the First and Second alternating boxes but if I Chnage the color to white so does the text.

Also, When I click the search text on the navbar it doesn't pop up the box that is usually suppose to pop up, neither does the quicklinks thing.

Please Help.
