I'm searching but can't find

Okay 2 hacks. One I know is around and the other I'm not sure.

The first one is 'Username Color'. Basically, this changes usernames colour on the Index page. I cannot find the 3.7 version byt I know there is one.

Second is 'Thread password'. In 3.6 there was a mod that allowed you to put a password on a specific thread, allowing only those who had the password to enter. Is there a 3.7 version out yet because I really need this ASAP.

Thanks.

Username colors are set in the Usergroup HTML Markup, no modification needed.

Opserty 08-27-2008 09:54 AM

The 3.6 version would probably still work on 3.7, have you tried them on a test board?

Cloverfield 08-27-2008 10:20 AM

I think it has been tested on 3.7 yes and it doesn't work. Here is the 3.6 hack https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ergroup+colour and Marco, I think you mean something different. I mean this - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...4&d=1180698072 where the username of the last post is the same colour as the usergroup that member belongs to.

Anything on the thread password one guys?

I think Opserty was saying that the 3.6 thread password hack may work on your 3.7 board. Have you tried it to see?

Yes it did work thanks but I really want the username colour thing to work. This is so that the usernames next to the latest post on the index page are the same colour as their respected usergroup.

Bump!

Marco van Herwaarden 09-22-2008 12:19 PM

There already is a modification for that, but i think it is only a change from username to musername in the template.

Cloverfield 09-22-2008 12:49 PM

The old modification is for 3.6. I'm on 3.7.

Marco van Herwaarden 09-22-2008 03:10 PM

Will most likely just work fine. Read the comments of others in the thread and try on a test forum.
