StyleCache Question
 

Hey all,

I finished my first mod last week and looking to improve it. The mod extends the skin system by making it into a 2 tier system by separating the skin and banner, which allows for further customization. I wasn't sure if such a mod exists, so I built it. :)

The first version implements the code in global.php and functions.php. How can we move the code out of those files and into "template/hook friendly" files so that I don't need to make changes to these files.

Also, what file does the styles get inputted from the database and stored into the stylecache. The current version constantly gets data from the database, which could be optimized by storing into its own cache.
