How would you change public joinable groups....
 
To change the primary usergroup instead of the additional...

Is this even possible without a major mod?

We should have a bit more flexibility with this...

Go to admincp->Users->Search for user->View Complete Profile->

Then from the dropdown on the right top screen, you can change the primary usergroup.

i meant automatically....

Obviously you cant do this for every user that joins the group
