What does this mean!!!

Im creating user groups an next to two of them I have asterisks (*)
What does it mean?

I've wondered this myself actually, I also have 2 usergroups with *'s next to them.

Groups marked with an * can be selected by their members to override the username markup and user title from their primary usergroup.
