Types of threads, do they exist in vbulletin 3.5
 
Is their a hack, or a way of allowing a user to post what type of a thread, a thread is.

Example(s)

John wants to sell a boat, he can mark the thread as Sale Only.
Jill wants to trade her sewing machine for a new bread maker, she can mark the thread as Trade Only

Preferably I would like to have the ability to require these tags if I wish. Also would be nice to add tags at anytime with ease. I am pretty sure that this is available in the newer versions of Vbulletin, however I have a highly modified site and would prefer to not to update the without a major reason.

There is this for 3.6 - Thread Prefixes Perhaps read the thread and see if it works for 3.5
