From the manual:
Restoring The Database via SSH/Telnet or
Restoring The Database via phpMyAdmin

The problem is our Forum has been hacked over the FTP this morning and all folders on the server has been deleted. Now we need to reinstall vBulletin from the scratch but dunno who to get the BackUp running.

Does someone have a copy of all the vbulletin files? If so, you need to reupload them all in the same manner that you originally did.

I really can't add anything to what I've said. When I logon to my server, I do so via SSH and then I restore my backups the way it says in that link.

What sort of server access do you have? Are you sure the database is no longer there? Do you know where your backups are stored?

The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP or phpMyAdmin can result in PHP timeouts errors and an incomplete backup file. Please see the instructions here:

Backup:
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...nce_ssh_backup

Restore:
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ce_ssh_restore

P.S. If you don't have shell access, some people have also reported success with these scripts:

MySQLDumper:
http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/index.php

MySQLHotxcopy:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...t=mysqlhotcopy

Bigdump:
