Prevent access to posts after a certain amount of time?
Hi, I run a forum about software, and because technology moves fast, old forum content mostly becomes outdated and therefore irrelevant or even potentially misleading after some time.
I would like to be able to define a "cutoff date" for the whole forum after which old topics become no longer accessible (or even visible) anymore. Of course they should still count for post count etc. I am basically thinking about a global "show only posts of the last 2 years" setting or something along those lines. Is this possible? |
Do a search with the words "move or days" "all mods" "titles only" and you'll get a ton of mods that do almost what you want. I'm sure you can easily modify one to do exactly what you want.

I dunno, but certainly the first step would be to close old threads.
