Less Previldged admin

Is there a way that i can make an admin to my forums but restrict him from entering certain areas of the admincp?

RedeemedWarrior 08-13-2008 09:07 AM

Yes

i prefer to do it this way

Make a usergroup based off your admin group

name it something like jnr Admin

add a user to it

from update Admin permissions Yes/No the powers/sections you want them to access :)

just add his admin powers

Code:

Usergroups
Usergroup Manager
Add New Usergroup
Join Requests
Promotions
Forum Permissions
Administrator Permissions
Color Groups
Prune Social Groups

Click on
Code:

Administrator Permissions
n add his admin powers

Only the permissions listed on the Administrator Permissions are permission groups you can set. You can't fine tune it any further with an unmodified vBulletin, I haven't come across a modification that does so either.

This will not stop them from being able to use the Mass Mail function in the AdminCP.

I to wish to restrict the admincp...

Example, I wish for a admin to be able to edit the settings to ONE custom vB Modifictation, NOT vB Options... is this possible?

If not, is there a way to put the custom vB Mod acp listing into the mcp for him to edit from there?

This is a plugin to edit a user from a post:

It works great.
