BOTM Changes
 

In light of the recent delays with the BOTM contest, the staff has decided to amend the voting and nomination process of the Board of Month contest.

From now on, the BOTM will run every two months instead of every month. The most recent poll (June / July) will remain open until September 30th as well as the nomination thread.

On October 1st, the current poll and nomination thread will be closed, a new poll tallied, and a new nomination process instantiated for the next two months.

The current BOTM rules and guidelines still apply: (Except for clause #4 which has just been amended)

Finally, the BOTM Contest will continue to be called BOTM despite these changes.

Um... ok this sux... why don't you just assign anohter member the duty of posting the monthly contest if you are too busy... only makes sense to pass on responsibility instead of waiting every 2months... and you might as well change the name while you are at it... its no longer (BOTM)... its BOEOM) - Board Of Every Other Month

Yes. Nominations will last for two months along with voting.

sounds like a good idea to me :) I also like 3 month contest (quarterly)

This means that your board will be Board of the Month for 30 days longer. How is that a bad thing?

This new way does not gives other forums chance to make BOTM. I can see why others are upset.

Maybe you could explain that one to me. How does this take anything away from anybody?

Actually, it could allow more forums to get in. As there is now a two month nomination period, more seconds can be accumulated.
