Hi I'm having a problem with people joining and advertising competing sites via PM. Obviously I can't be around at all times to ban and remove the users PM's... so can I do anything about it?

allow PM's for certain usergroups, set up a seperate usergroup, so that when members post so many posts, then they are moved to that group and can then use the PM system.

That may not be too practical for all boards, but it may be a solution. Another option is the PM moderation hack. I am hoping someone will code a better solution that identifies identical PM's.
