How to upgrade PHP and MYSQL to 5?

On a VPS? I have no idea about SSH or shell commands, so it needs to be a completely simply written solution. Is this possible via files rather than commands? Is there anyone who'd help for free?

If your VPS is running RedHat/CentOS, the easiest way would be to enable the Utter Ramblings Repository for Yum. Then just simply run "yum update".
