StretchingBucks.com - Money forum

This forum was designed to share ideas/links/advice on how to make your money go further. Hence the name Stretchingbucks.com

http://www.stretchingbucks.com/forums/

I have some more tweaks to make to the code and I want to touch up the graphics a little. Thanks to the creator of the dd-green template. I think it really looks nice for our site!

Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think. *** Advertising removed ***

ps I haven't promoted this site yet, so we don't have too many posts. Just a few users that have logged in who found the site from posts I made on this (and other) boards asking for design/setup help.

Also, I am working on a vbAdvanced page for the landing page, but it is still "in the works".

Business and finance websites benefit most from the clean professional look, and they gravitate toward mostly white background with plain, easy to read fonts. If that isn't a summary of your own site, I don't know what is. Only thing I'd do is merge some forums. It's better to have three busy forums than nine dead ones. You might be running a numbers forum, but your patrons won't be doing the math. 100 posts split up by two looks like you've got a thriving populace. Divide it by 20 and you look like you have a barren wasteland. Just like your wallet and your bank account, it's always a plus to see the big numbers. I did the same with my website.

So are you saying my site IS or IS NOT "plain and easy to read"? My intention was to dress it up with a little color to try and get away from the standard "template" of vb, but keep it simple.

I think he's saying that it is. Which is true I love the style. With such a decent style I would get a more professional Logo done though.

May I ask if that is a custom style? Or is it a premade one you bought/downloaded from somewhere?

Edit: Also the background of the logo does not quite fit with the rest of the header.
