Auto move a newly registered member to a certain user group depending on profile fiel
 

Hey,

would it be possible with vB todo the following:

-Add a profile field (drop down box, where the user has to choose an answer), e.g. 2006, 2007 etc
-And depending on what the users has chosen, automatically move him to a user group 2006 or 2007
-And now the right management: every user group (2006, 2007) may post into the "general" forums, but only 2006 may post into every subforum of the category "Jga 2006" and only 2007 may post into every subforum of the category "jga 2007"??

would this be possible???

I just released a mod to move a user to a usergroup based on registration page dropdown. You could accomplish profile field drop down just as easily.

Im working on one for profile fields right now as well.

Yeah but this one is sufficient for me, because the profile field on which the user group depends is also a drop down box (or better to say: will be after having bought and configured vb) :)
