How does Vbulletin define "Active Users?"

What intervals of board activity denote someone as an "active user?"

It is a number of days set by you in the Admin CP. I think default was 30 days (at least that is what I have it set to).

These are the users who had their last activity for the last 86400 seconds (24 hours).

If you wonder about "Active users" parameter which is available to public, then expiration is your cookie expiration time ($vboptions['cookietimeout']). I think default is 900 seconds.
