Variable question
 
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I'm tryin to get a $variable to show up on my home page(forum home template). Its shows up just fine on the page that the mod was created on but when i move it to any other template it wont show.

My thinking is that a $variable should be able to be moved to any template and be displayed, however that is flawed. Is that because its not a global variable ?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on what hook you are running the code in. If your hook doesn't get 'run' until the end of the page, but the template is being called beforehand, then the variable is not available to be passed to the template.
