I need to directly edit this Javascript function:

vbmenu_register("navbar_search")

or

vbmenu_register

I need to know where I can find the raw code of the Javascript (not template edit).

Where can I go to find the actual code of the Javascript?

You can download the uncompressed version from the Members' Area. Just select the correct version in the dropdown when downloading vBulletin.

I'm sorry I'm confused, do you mean the Javascript code is in one of the files downloaded with the vBulletin software? If so, which one?

Go to the vBulletin download page in the members area. Select "More Download Options" and under "Download File" select "Package - Uncompressed JavaScript".
