Totally Useless Information: PLZ HELF

Because I'm about to go to bed, and my head is doing funny things, I'm killing time until my wife finishes running the sheets though the dryer (don't ask me why we don't have more then one set of sheets, because I have no idea) and I figured I'd mess with Google a bit.

According to Google site search, this is the number of times that variations of the phrase "Please Help" has appeared in it's various forms here at vB.org.

"Please Help" 13,700
"Plz Help" 1,300
"Pls Help" 565
"Halp" 34
"plz hlp" 15

And I was somewhat mildly amused that ""pleas help" occurs 73 times. "Helf" only occurs 4, but two of those are misspellings of the word "half". Either that, or there's a sport that has a Helf-Time Show that I've never heard of.

This does not account for duplications in the archive, or thread titles.

Don't mind me. Just one of my pet peeves. When a forum is devoted to support for a given product or service, I find it odd that you would think that you wouldn't get any unless you say plz and remain as vague about the actual problem as is grammatically possible. You know who u r.

Okay, I'm done being silly. I'm going to bed now, sheets or no sheets.

EDIT: Heh, found 1 instance of "pzl help". Heh

It's been that way since support for help.

Many think it is how your say please vs. being descriptive on the question and supplying information on the problem. It also makes searches work better when looking for answers :).

I can't tell you how many times I've done a Title Search for "Pzl Help".

Fo Shizzle.

Fo' Shizzle my Nizzle?!?!?

Yeah, the worst part is the hysteric tone... vB is used mostly as hobby, and the reaction on those guys make it more complicated

Titles like that are just really bad for SEO. They are completely unrelated to any niche, really. And they won't help you get any search engine referrals.

would be good to put the "please" and "help" words in the black list.... soooo much more fun to read the new titles poping up..lol

hehe, hope your sheets are dry enough for you to get some sleep :D

people who are to lazy to type out please shouldn't even get support. We need a massive movement, something like noplz.org.

Personally i find nothing more annoying then seeing those words, and generally just skip over the thread even if i know the answer
