Two installs - same site?
Is it possible to have two installs of vb that share the same database and user sessions?
EG: I want threads from and forums 10,11,12,13 to shown on mysite.com and I wanted everything else to show in subdomain.mysite.com Is this possible? When someone logs into the site they should be logged in for both mysite.com and subdoaim.mysite.com I want to use some sections for articles, ie the main site, and the rest as normal forums. So would this be possible? I don't care if I have to buy two licences to run it - but I just one want unified log-in system. |
If I understand what you are trying to do, there should be no need for an additional license.
Would vbAdvanced CMPS fit your needs? http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.p...fo&productid=4 If not, there are other options. |
CMPS won't work, as I want to use some of the forums to host my articles. I basically want some forums in the main domain and everything else in a sub-domain.
vBa Dynamics would be good - but it does not allow rep giving in it's comments/threads. |
To avoid confusion: The construction you describe would need a 2nd license.
