"Classic" 3.6 profile page in 3.7?
I upgraded to 3.7.x recently- I gotta admit I'm really unhappy with the new profile pages.
What I'd like to do is change it so it looks more like the old 3.6 page- but with the added features of the 3.7 model. Inline editing, customization, visitor messages, but in a more familiar package. Is there a hack that can do this? |
Don't know if there is a modification out there already, however I modified the MEMBERINFO template and just removed the javascript for the "tabs". Then each section just appeared as blocks which I organised appropriately.
|
Well, that's something to begin with anyway. I'll have to have a very, very close look at it to see what all I can do from there, I think.
|
Also each the "blocks" are given as a variable called $block[xxxx] so you should be able to position them easily in the MEMBERINFO template.
|
Thanks for your help, eh? 'preciate it~
|
Also, when you're "converting" your 3.6 template, vBulletin now uses $prepared for the profile's information, not $userinfo.

Alright, I've made some progress, but I am getting stuck now. I've clearly broken something important, and I need help to fix it, I think.
This is my memberinfo template Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype] Edit: Fixed it. Added <div> tags around the modified tables from the old template. |
