Warning Popup/message before new thread?
 

Hello,

We have a forum that has special guidelines, and I'd like for members to read a message before posting. Is there some hack that warns a member before posting a new thread?

You could edit your forumdisplay template to change how the newthread page is linked. And you could either add an onclick javascript call that pops open a message window or you could create another page that the user is directed to from clicking the newthread button and then redirect to the proper newthread file when the user clicks another button.

You could also edit the newthread template and add a message to the top.
