New Look

Okay its a bit of a work in progress, I'm already running up a small list of changes, but compared to the stock vB its I think a move in the right direction.

Your idea's and thoughts welcome.

The color scheme for the forumhome page is unusual, especially the yellow/red/maroon accents. Is there a particular reason you chose those colors?

I'd also get rid of the avatar-like icon in the header which I've circled in red (see below). Visually, it breaks up the header... in fact, when I first saw it, I thought it was an icon that was being rendered in the wrong place.

You've got a good number of forum categories, but since your site seems to be relatively busy, I don't know if it would be worth combining some of them.

Thanks for the tip's....no reasons on the colours other than I like yellow but open to suggestions. I think its a skill to understand what colours go together best so any tips are more than welcome. :-)

Perhaps you could try blues or violets to color-coordinate with your header?

You may find this quick tutorial on color theory helpful in guiding your choices.

The video section looks nice. Though it doesnt have links to the other sections. Why not use this design and apply it to the rest of the site?

I would completely replace the design of the rest of the site.
