Ideas?
 

I've been looking into starting a community forum again, but I'm not really sure what to make it on. I'd love to have a populated forum, but it's hard to think of something that would be original at this point in the game. I've always been more fond of general forums.. kind of like offtopic.com, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be to get the members.

Anyone have any ideas? And feel free to message me on AIM if you want to talk about it.

actually, the best way to find ideas about forums is to ask your friends, not this place... the reason is simple: we all are site admins, and when we have ideas on what to start as a forum, we do it for ourselves...

More often than not when someone needs to ask for ideas on the type of forum to create that forum will fail miserably. Save yourself the cash, time and the occaisional headache and possibly start a forum when you have that moment of inspiration.

As Shelley_C says: must be something that really interest you, for you to keep going and going even when you are not cashing on the forum ;)

It's incredible the range of topics on what u can base your forum/community, the other day I 'saw' one for mentally-retarded persons, but Nexialys and I were sworn in secrecy not to tell :rolleyes:
