I need help placing ad's, please look at the image below. I need help where to find the place to add the code so it shows up on the right of the logo.

Try the header template.

I know I need the header template but im not sure where to put it inside there.

Just throw it in there and try it out... the header template should be commented well enough for you figure it out. ;)
