style & plugin upload problem (vb 3.7.2)
 

I'm using vbulletin 3.7.2. When I try to upload a style I get this message:

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admincp/template.php could not be found on this server.

I went and downloaded vbulletin 3.7.2 again and uploaded the file fresh but still get this message.

re upload your 3.7.2 over right the files n it will fix it some times when u upload vb your ftp goes over files too quick that it misses some files... it happen to me a lot

Have you checked your FTP to make sure the file exists?

I reinstalled vbulletin 3.7.2 and checked and the file is there but I still get the error.

Also when I try to install a plugin I get this message:

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admincp/plugin.php could not be found on this server

I just checked and the files exist on the server.

Admin CP > Maintenance > Diagnostics > Suspect File Versions

If that scan comes out clean, it is probably because of incorrect server configuration. Ask your host in that case.

I found in another thread on another forum about adding this entry:

After adding that to .htaccess I now get this message when trying to upload a style:
"No file uploaded and no local file found."

The above setting will indicate if mod_security is preventing some AJAX requests from being submitted to vBulletin. If this shows Yes then you either need to disable mod_security or change the AJAX settings with the vBulletin Options and disable Problematic features.

Go here, and perform step 11 only.
