Resolved Thread instead of lock or closed thread display

Hi I am new here and need some help, I have started a Q & A forum in my community and I am using 3.7 gold, Q & A concept is quite similar to "Yahoo Answer" I just would like to know is there anyway I can lock or close the thread after the appropriate answer replied on the question without displaying "crossing line" and instead of saying close on the thread it should display, "Resolved"
Any one can help please:)

How do you mean by thread prefixes?? would you please elaborate a bit as I am not that kind a techy person, if you guide me to it I will really appreciate your assistance.

Thanks for sharing, I have read the thread you have mentioned and thank you for telling me that but this pre-fix is good when one need to start a thread with this pre-fix but not to close the thread where already members have posted and close the thread with a prefix message.

What I actually want is to close a certain thread with a pre-fix message, for example in my case I want to display a message of "Resolved Question" instead of a message displaying "closed" besides thread with a strike through line on the thread.

In short I want to close a thread with a pre-fix message not to open a thread with pre-fix message.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Looking for this too..

I may use some other method - like auto moving closed threads

As I mentioned before, Thread Prefixes will work nicely, IMO. Close the thread and edit the prefix to "Resolved".

You could probably edit the threadbit template with a condition around $thread[statusicon], but I know if I were to do something like this, I'd create a one-click button for my Mods only that when clicked would add the prefix "Resolved" to the thread and also close it. I think it's cleaner to use an existing system (the vb prefixes) than to create your own system (a prefix added based on the statusicon).
