vb.org Archive - Registration with and without email

Hi,

I am trying to create two usergroups, one that will be quick-registration with username/password only (no email) and the user will be limited from posting in the forum (this user is used in other places at the site so its not useless as it seems).

The other group are regular users with email verification at registration.

I also want to allow the quick-users to be able to upgrade their registration to "full users" by adding their email address, and running the email verification to activate their induction to the new usergroup.

Any help or push in the right direction will be apprecited.
