Uploading template error.
 

Everytime i try i download a template and then try to upload via (Import Style XML File) i get the error as follows (XML Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at Line 1) . I am a complete newb, so please be kind :)

Uhmm.. Check if its a Style XML and not Plugin XML.
And try 2 or 3 diff styles to make sure error is on part of the skin n not u?

i have tried 6 different ones and have gotten the same error for all of them.. am i supposed to upload it to the host or something.. i am really lost

Where are you uploading these Styles?

i dl it from vbulletin.org. for instance this one https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=177240. i dl it to my computer then i try to upload it in the admin cp using this http://files.vbulletin.com/doc_image...load_style.png... am i missing something..How do i get them to work..please help

thats weird.. well usually a style has an XML and image folder.. which is uploaded to forum root or wherever specified for that skin.. and the XML file is to be uploaded. If you have troubles still id suggest u open a ticket cos mustbe problem with your board then. Also make sure the version match for board and style.. if they arent then be sure to check the ignore version.

here is a wierd question i have.. would it be possible for you to list each step that is needed to ad a new template? please, i relly would love to change the colors of my boards or to atleast provide options

Okay when u download style u have a folder for images and an XML.
You upload folder at wherever its specified in readme. for ex: forum/images/newstyle
then goto ACP > Style Manager > Download/upload Style.> import style XML.. browse and add XML for style u downloaded. you can also use additional options but usually that should do. if the style version is diff then check ignore box.
