How to use a custom style

Hello.
I have just downloaded a Custom vBulletin style, and uploaded everything to my "styles" folder, and uploaded the xml file.
But when me and my users go to my forum home, it still shows the default old style.
Any idea on how to make my custom style stay permanently?
