folder to your forum root.

I am new to this! 3 days and counting and im trying to understand all the lingo and so on.

Alot of the mods are saying this
Quote:

Upload all files/folders in the Upload folder to your forum root.
Can someone please tell me alittle about this and the steps i need to do to upload the files for certain mods to work.

Thanks

Forum root refers to the main folder of your forum. If for example your forum is at: http://somedomain/forums/ then forums is your forum root. (Scripts like index.php, showthread.php, forumdisplay.php are in your forum root folder, so look for those and you should be alright ;))

forum root typically refers to the directory in which your vBulletin installation is. (I.e. what I stated in my original post).

You can use an FTP Client to upload your files to the forum root.

So in your case it will the "forum" directory (possibly located in the public_html directory) on your server.
