bounced emails
I have some 100,000 members on my forum and I recently sent out a newsletter. I don't often. On registration I have email confirmation. What I found out was shocking to me. Out of the 100,000 emails I sent out. 70,000 bounced!!!!! Holy cow! Is this common for everyone else? How do I make sure these emails stay good? Should I make a hack that makes people reconfirm their email every year?

although this is an old post - the search will produce this post as a good topic for discussion.
there is a project in development which integrates phplist into vbulletin - see post here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...99#post1844199 there is also a commercial integration too. I the OP's question (unanswered until now) - I suggest using something that handles bounces and subscriptions. |
