SPF help
I send email from my with the "From" being a gmail account. I have this record in my DNS v=spf1 a mx ~all
It comes out as Neutral though. Any advice? |
Sorry, I do not understand - have you got your domain's mail hosted on Google Apps?
If this is the case, the SPF record for your domain should be something like: v=spf1 include:aspmx.googlemail.com ~all This should be enough. If I have not understood your setup, let me know. |
I use Google Apps and I use this as my SPF string:
Code:
v=spf1 a mx include:aspmx.googlemail.com ~all |
I use vb and my webmaster address is a gmail account. So when I send email the "from" is gmail address. How do I make SPF for that? I am not using google app. thanks

you shouldn't need to create a SPF record for it. and further more you probably can.t

Are you sending mail directly from your server to the client without going through Google? This will always look like possible forged mail because your server doesn't resolve to a google mail domain server even though the FROM does. |

You need an SPF version 2 record. Here's a starting place. http://www.skylist.net/resources/authentication.php. SPF tester at the bottom.
I only use version 1 myself, can't offer any advice. |
Again, he can't control the SPF record of Google's server.
