Custom Usergroup - Super Admin Powers

1 -- If I make a custom usergroup with Admin-like permissions, and they are listed in the config.php file, will they still be considered Super Admins?

2 -- If my user ID is listed in the config.php file for Super Admins, and someone goes into the Admin CP and changes my usergroup to Member, can I still access the Admin CP through a direct link to the log in page?
The config.php file seems like it should override forum usergroup settings, but I'm not sure.

1) Would probably just be best to test it. I presume they will.

2) There is another variable in config.php which prevents a User from being edited, setting your userid in this should prevent anyone from changing the usergroup of that usergroup.

Even if I didn't use that other variable though I bet it would work. I mean, even if your usergroup has changed, the config.php file doesn't know that and if you have a link to the admin CP it's either going to let you log in, or give you a no permission page, I dunno, has anyone ever tried this?

If you usergroup is changed to one which has AdminCP Access disable, you will not be able to access it.

tools.php from the do_not_upload folder lets you restore the admin user in these cases. However I you followed what I mentioned previously, you should need to do this.

I think we were looking at this from opposite perspectives. I was just wondering if it was changed, the usergroup that is. If the config.php list of who the Super Admins are, would override the forums usergroup settings and still allow even a reg member to access the admin cp in that respect.

But it looks like the answer is no, so thanks.
