SQL error when sending out user password

I just installed a copy of vBulletin 3.7.1 Patch Level 1 on a brand new server running PHP Version 5.1.6 and mysql Client API version 5.0.45. Nothing funny has been installed on this server and all configuration settings are unchanged so should be at the defaults.

Vbulletin appears to be working fine apart from one thing.

When I go to send a user their password from the admin, vbuletin chugs along as if it is trying to do something for a minute or two and then displays the following database error:

Quote:

Database error in vBulletin 3.7.1:

Invalid SQL:

SELECT text, languageid, special
FROM phrase AS phrase
LEFT JOIN phrasetype USING (fieldname)
WHERE phrase.fieldname = 'frontredirect'
AND varname = 'lostpw' AND languageid IN (-1, 0, 1);

Strange that you get this on this query, not a really heavy one. You could try to repair your database tables and maybe edit a (any) phrase and save it to rebuild the phrases.

Thanks, I fixed prob by using SMTP Email instead and now it works. Sorry, always the way that you spend hours unable to fix something, then when you post for help an idea suddenly comes to you!
