google adsense click tracking
i would like to make a script that will track user clicks on ads (and record them) so i can award the users who are supporting the site
not limited to Google ads but it's the preferred one do you think that is possible and how? |
IIRC part of the Google AdSense TOS is that you not mess with their JavaScript so you might want to check that out. For other ads, you could make a link to a vB based script that records the userid and the ad clicked by passing the ad number via query string and using $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'] in the script, and then afterwards use header to redirect.

On the subject of Adsense TOS, motivating users to click adverts might also cause you some problems.
