Manual upgrade to 3.7.1
Hello, is there an instruction on how to manual upgrade vb3.7.0 to vb3.7.1 pl1? Thanks.
You upload all non-image vBulletin files. Then you run ./install/upgrade.php...
I'm afraid of loosing some of the hacks that do not compatible with the latest version. Would you please provide a few examples of non-image vBulletin files for noobie like me? Thanks much.
Anything that isn't .png, .jpg, .gif... Mostly .xml, .php, .js... If you manually upload each folder using FTP, most likely, you will not remove any files that are for modifications.
Upload all files except for the "images" directory.
Thanks much for both of your assistant. I'll try that.
Btw, if I do that, is that consider manual upgrade? |
There is no such thing as a manual upgrade, you must run install/upgrade.php once you have uploaded the new files.
oic. thanks again.
However, how hard is it for me to upgrade the style (3.6.7) to compatible with 3.7.1? Is there any instruction to upgrade the style |
Any customized templates will need edited. This will be shown to you once you enter the Admin CP. There is a template version history (comparison of your customizations to the default template) that will allow you to see what changes were made and to make them.

Thanks King.
One thing I just noticed that I do not receive PM notification via email when I have new PM on 3.7.0. Is that something that I need a hack or I need to turn it on/enable it somewhere? |
