$user phrase in a post?

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to use a vbphrase in a post. My scenario is that I want to post a Subscription Club only announcement with a simple:

Quote:

Hello $user,

Blah blah.

If anyone knows if it's possible and how to do it, I would be extremely grateful.

Your one works everywhere though, usernames, thread titles, signatures so is open to potential abuse :p

The one I posted is restricted to posts only ;)

Disabling hooks is easier than adding them later. ;)
