Smilies gone
Hi, I hope someone can help.
I recently bought a VB license and integrated a phpbb forum into vb. Ever since the integration, myself (admin) mods, and regular users can't use/see/access smilies or any bb code. My one admin that helped me install everything showed me a screenshot, and he has smilies in the posting area, but myself and others do not.. I've tried everything I can think of permissions wise to make these elements show to no luck. What can I do? TYIA |
Do you mean imported? (If so did you use the impex script?)
Can you see them being used inside of his posts? Make sure you have enable the WYSIWYG editor in your UserCP |
Hi.. thanks for the quick response. I don't mean imported, I mean, none of them imported over well and I know that. I've uploaded new ones via the smiley manager in the ACP. I mean, when you go to to post a thread, all I see is this :https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/06/9.png
No option for smilies to be used. Previously some have showed up in threads, but its kind a hit and miss. I am just wondering if this is an issue that is stemming from when everything was imported over or?? I notice another VB board I am helping on is having the same issue and they as well merged from phpbb software. |
Go to UserCP > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Message Editor Interface: (Set it to standard or enhanced)
|
Quote:
|
AdminCP > Execute SQL Query > Automatic Query > Select "Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar"
If you get a permissions error do the following: Quote:
AdminCP > vBulletin Options > vBulletin Options > Message Posting Interface Options > Enable Clickable Message Formatting Controls > Set to "Enable Standard & WYSIWYG Controls" for all 3 AdminCP > vBulletin Options > vBulletin Options > User Registration Options > Default Registration Options > Message Editor Interface > Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar (You can also use the "Standard Toolbar" however that doesn't give WYSIWYG capabilities) |
Just wanted to say thanks, with your help I resolved the issue :)
