How do I set it...
So that only one person can start a thread in a forum yet everyone can post to that thread?
I have a forum that is just for birthday greetings and I have one person designated to post those threads yet every now and again someone gets a little post happy and posts their own birthday greeting so I'm trying to prevent that. I tried to search for how to do this but couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated. |
AdminCP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Permissions > Can Post threads? No
|
If I set that though doesn't that mean no one can post threads? I just want to set it so that one specific person can post a thread.
Thanks! |
I think "Access Masks" might let you give them permission though I'm not 100% sure.
AdminCP > Users > Search for Users > Fill in details and find your user From the drop down menu on the edit user page select "Edit Forum Permissions (Access Masks)" Find the appropriate forum and set it to "Yes". |
Thank you Osperty! You taught me some things I didn't know.
