Problem with NEW registration AFTER upgrade

I finished the upgrade to the newest version.

Now new members can't register they get an error message that says
[Please complete the required field "" ]

The required field line is blank so I have NO clue what it could be. I have gone though the admin settings for new registration so many times I have it memorized.

Before the upgrade there was no problem, now there is, so I messed up something.

Anybody have a clue what that mystery field could be? Or how I could find out maybe?

Thanks

Have you tried reuploading the registration page and registration related pages? And also made sure that you reverted the registration templates?

GrowReport 06-07-2008 05:32 PM

No I have not tried that, I will do that now.

no change, the same problem.

The mystery required field is still a mystery.

I turned off the image verification and everything else just to test and still the same error.

All I ever required was a good email address and the image check and it always worked.

Any other clues would be helpfull

Thanks

Have you tried viewing the registration page using a totally default vbulletin style? (create a new style with no parent)

Do you have any hacks installed that deal with registration?

Did you accidentally set Human Verification Options to Question & Answer?

I will try that today.

I think it may have been the flash chat program, that is what I am looking at now.

Again thanks everyone for your help.

I finally got that fixed, now I can start to work on the SMTP errors and why it will not send out through SMTP.

Thanks everyone :)

Run the SMTP diagnostic and see the errors it tells you. Also consider looking at the server mail logs.
