When you upgrade the board, you'll be met with several announcements in the ACP 'home' they ask you to revert your skins, but it is strongly advisable NOT to do it. Instead, edit each template (but don't do anything with the code, just scroll down to "save"), and SAVE them, and that will keep the skins the way they are, on top of that, you'll not lose your template edits, or some hacks. Not all hacks work with VB 3.7.0 and above, so keep in mind that's the reason why some hacks are missing.

Oi. Um. Have no idea.

All I know is that reverting skins aren't the best thing to do if you want to keep your skins as is. If you REALLY want to keep your skins, manually saving them, is the best way to go.

In correction to post #2 it is generally recommended that you revert your templates, if you don't update your templates you may find you lose functionality. However you will have to bear in mind that customisations to the old template will be lost if you revert a template.

The easiest way to save your customisations and still be up to date is to use the "Template History" feature, which highlights changes between templates. Using this will enable you to edit the new changes into the old template or vice versa.
