user banning problem
Hi i think this may be a feature in vb all ready but i cannot find it anywhere....... when me or one of my staff ban someone in the forum i want a post to be made in a selected forum of my choice the way it would when you would report a post or give an infraction to someone?
any ideas?? Thanks in advance |
Just create an infraction type that will ban them - that's what I do.

Hi There, that is a great idea thanks, the only problem is that my normal infractions get a post in a certain thread and i wanted all banned members in there own thread, so if one of my staff was to ban someone using there CP it would automatically make a post in a required thread? by the sounds of it this isn't built in to vb, do you think i will need to check for a plugin for this??

The default style of infraction "reporting" is that each infraction gets a new thread.

Ok thanks for your patience, i haven't had much experience dealing with the infraction options.
Ok what i have done is : i have went in to the '' add new automatic ban'' menu, once in there i added a permanent ban option, choose to have it as infraction rather than points, , set the required level of points for this ban option and saved it, so were do i know enable it to post in the forum of my choice upon a ban, but a different forum from the one set for my normal infractions, in my CP?? hope this makes sense lol Thanks |
The same forum will be used for both infractions and bans. As technically, you are giving an infraction that will in turn create a ban.
