Remove forum rules step from registration

I'm not sure why anybody would want to do this, but it was requested.

All this mod does is remove the forum rules step from your registration. Simply install the product.

This mod is not supported and it's code can be reused without my permission.

Although this is appreciated, one step further would be to actually find a way to move the rules to the page where you fill in your details.

I second that. What I dislike, too, is that if you deny registrations of under 13 year old users, there is another step added to the registration process.

Thanks for this, :)

What are you talking about? It says "Reusable Code" in the post header. I can't control what vb.org puts in the signature.

And I gave permission.

Doesn't this just do an automatic acceptance of the rules? You should notify the user that they have accepted the rules. Could cause grief later if they claim they didn't knowingly accept anything.

Feel free to take this mod and do anything you want with it. I think that if a webmaster is not wanting to force them to accept the rules, they could care less if this 'auto accepts' or not.

If anybody posts anything similar I'll remove this mod. I don't even have it installed on my own forums. It was requested, and instead of just providing him link to download it I posted it here in case others wanted to use it.

No thanks, I don't need it. I was just pointing out that if someone auto-accepts the rules and they break them later on, you have the proverbial catch-22 situation in place.

Correct!
Thank you.
