New Visitor Message Notification

Someone left me a message over a month ago and i never even knew. Is there a setting for this?

Maybe someone kind of email informing you that someone has left a message.

I think its pretty useless if it doesnt inform you that someone has left a message, no one really checks their profile

If your navbar is setup correctly it is hard to miss a visitor message notification. Are you using an older style with 3.7.x?

Is it setup correctly? What do you mean by that.
I think i kinda know what are you are talking about. I remember going on a vbulletin forum once and under private messages there was a drop down menu that told u about visitor messages and friend requests.

How do i go about setting up the navbar correctly

I'm using the default 3.70 skin.

Thanks!

If you are using the absolute default style, the drop-down will occur automatically.

Try reverting your navbar template. Make sure you are not using any plugins that overwrite this template.
