Mod on the front page?

Okay, excuse me if this is an obvious answer, but I am fairly new to vBulletin.

On the front page of vBulletin.org there is a sort of 'news' mod/blog where news about vBulletin ect. is posted. My question is, what mod (if it is one) or how do I get that on my site.

It is a custom portal modification that won't be released. And the news is retrieved using the rss posting feature.

I would suggest just using a wordpress blog, it's much more SEO friendly compared to vba and with some tweaking, can do anything vba can.
