I am currently working on this - user import is done and I will look at forums/posts/threads tomorrow :)

If there is anyone who is looking for this and would be willing to help test it please post here so that I can contact you in a few days to test the hack :)

Yes, I am interested in this. I just purchased a license for vBulletin, and am currently running phpBB 1.4.0, and would most likely like to import everything I can as soon as possible.

Please let me know.:)

Doesn't hurt to have two as the best features of both can be combined.

I'm interested in this too, I'm currently waiting for someone to write a conversion tool before I'm gonna purchase a license.

I guess I really don't need the script anymore as I already started over a long time ago.

I wasn't too far into phpBB, so I just had every register again, and start over.

I am a lot happier with VB. The features are more robust, and seem to work much better. Now if I could only get good at customizing things.

All I have been able to change so far is colors and small things like that.

Kartman 06-07-2001 04:19 AM

and how did you get the posts from phpBB to vBulletin ??

Prezident 06-09-2001 03:01 AM

I didn't import anything. I just started over.

I am one of those impatient people that doesn't like to wait for anything.

No big deal though, I had only been running phpBB for 3 or 4 weeks, and didn't have that much to lose.

Most people were happy to start over with something better.
